Let’s Play Quest for Glory 2! It’s been three years at the time of writing this since I played Quest for Glory 2 last and for the channel, and bearing that in mind I can’t remember for the life of me why there was such a big gap between Magic Carpet and Quest for Glory 2. I took a hiatus from the channel in the early days after only 10 games or so. Maybe I was disheartened that no one was watching after a couple of months, I honestly don’t remember.
What I do know is that ever since I came back with Quest For Glory 2 several months later (which I think I labeled as Season Two with Let’s Play With Brigands, which I think I still consider the channel as being in), I haven’t dropped a week since which I’m mildly proud of. Anyway, to the game!
There’s actually not a lot to say about this let’s play. It’s funny, I used the “suck blue frogs” cheat code to beef up my stats which a lot of people in the comments chastised me for, and that’s probably representative of how I felt about the channel at the time. This was my first game back after that long break, and while I don’t remember why I picked it back up again, I guess I didn’t feel like settling in for a long let’s play my first game back. Quest For Glory 2 is a fantastic, immersive game if you don’t cheat. It takes time to beef up your stats, going into the desert fighting skeletons and BRIGANDS, spending every day searching around the maze which is Shapier, talking to peoplee, learning things. When you don’t sleep through the entire game like I did, the game is so much bigger. When I was a kid I remember each day within the game took the equivalent of a day in real time, trying to figure out how to solve the puzzles for the first time, relaying my progress back to my older brother who obviously had more of a life than I did at that point.
Ha, actually writing like this now makes me reminisce for when i was a kid and played through it legitimately, and it makes me want to do it top to bottom again like those days soon.
