Let’s Play The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past! let's play the legend of zelda a link to the pastWow, another Zelda game which you can make the argument for as being one of the best games in the history of video games… shocker. No this game really is that good, and because I know that you grew up under that big rock, read on.

Let’s Play The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past:

So what’s there to say about this game that you don’t already know? There really isn’t anything, so let’s just get into some sweet sweet rehashing.

Actually, speaking of rehashing, the “quest” aspect is pretty reminiscent of previous installments of Zelda games. The plot is pretty different, but you’re still going out to collect a finite number of things before you can take on the last boss, which hundreds of games use as a device.

Something you can say for the Zelda franchise though is that they basically invented that whole premise of collecting “things” whether that’s Triforce pieces in the first game, coins or whatever the hell we were doing with those statues in the second game, or now collecting or freeing princesses from shimmering diamonds.

Anyway, this is yet another game which showed off the capabilities of the Super Nintendo in terms of graphics, sound and music, and overall size of its games.

While I haven’t played any Zelda games after Ocarina of time, and consider Ocarina to be the high water mark of the series and one of the greatest games of all time, A Link to the Past was a nearly perfect game for its time and remains near the top if not topping most of the best games of all times lists.
