Let’s Play Tony Hawk 4!
I bought Tony Hawk 4 shortly after exhausting everything I could do in Tony Hawk 3 which I was completely obsessed with when it came out. None of the TH games hold up as well as other games of the day which I still play, but let’s focus on how much I loved them at the time instead of getting all negative here.
Let’s Play Tony Hawk 4:
Tony Hawk 4 doesn’t really improve upon or tweak too much from the previous entry, but it just offers up more “boards” and challenges to tackle. And when the formula isn’t broken, there’s nothing wrong with that necessarily.
The sort of spin off “Tony Hawk Underground” introduced a story mode which breathed some new life into the franchise for me as it felt there was a greater investment for every MC Twist or sick combo you pulled off then just pulling a massive score just because a pro skater told your premade character to do it.
Wait, I was supposed to avoid the negativity. There’s not much to say about Tony Hawk 4; honestly I could just recycle my post on TH3. It’s a good game and it’s fun to play.
The multiplayer is a lot of fun to play, as well, in the same way that the single player mode is fun. It’s basically the games which preceded it but newer, larger levels to do it in. So yeah, good times.
Now I’m looking forward to playing Tony Hawk Underground.
