Let’s Play The Chase on Tom Sawyer’s Island! Of the two games (Matterhorn Screamer and The Chase on Tom Sawyer’s Island), I much prefer this one. Who doesn’t love a Pac Man themed game in the world of Tom Sawyer? Or maybe better asked, who the hell came up with the idea for a Pac Man themed game in the world of Tom Sawyer? Oh well, it’s a good one.
Let’s Play The Chase on Tom Sawyer’s Island:
What’s great about this game is that I can’t always guarantee a win. Sure you get an extra life with every level you beat, but the back half when the evil Native American and Aunt Polly or whatever her name was get super coked up is pretty difficult to the point where you can easily blow through half a dozen lives in a couple of minutes.
It’s like Pac Man but with extra places to go and ways to interact with the map. It kind of makes me want to design or commission a design of a Pac Man type game where every map is shaped differently with places to hide and powerups to collect, because I don’t know that that exists anywhere.
But yes, The Chase on Tom Sawyer’s Island is a fun time. Riding across the river on your raft, going over the seesaw, cutting through the Disney-esque mountain, going behind the water wheel which would probably normally crush you do death, rolling the dice every time you make use of the treehouse with enemies boxing you in, or just chilling out in the cave and waiting for everything to cool down, there are a lot of elements which give the game a good level of replayability.
