Let’s Play T & C Surf Design

Let’s Play T & C Surf Design! Summer has always been my favorite season and time of the year, and I can’t think of a better game which encapsulates it all in glorious 8-bit fidelity than T & C Surf Design. let's play t & c surf design

Let’s Play T & C Surf Design:

I liked this game so much that a few years ago when I was looking the game up, I found the company T & C online and bought a few t-shirts and hats/swag.

The game only has one real piece of music aside from the quick loss or victory pieces, but that one piece is better than the entire collective soundtracks from hundreds of other game. Whenever I hear it, I can’t wait to kick off my jeans and put on some board shorts, FIDLAR style.

The game is super simple, only offering two modes of play between Wood and Water ragers. On the ground, you can play as the (and I forget their proper names) dude in sunglasses or my favorite, the crazy tiki dude who only skates at sunset. The object is to navigate the obstacle course in under 60 seconds, the course getting more complex and longer with each win.

On the water side, you can play as the gorilla or my favorite, the cat in a wetsuit which always looked more like a tuxedo. There was just something infinitely badass about the idea of a cat surfing in a tuxedo.

The surfing is a bit trickier, and most people throw the controller down in rage when they can’t figure how to stay afloat. If you can pull it off and stay afloat, you can make the ocean your bitch and catch some serious air on the waves before surfing into shore in front of an audience of director/Gilligan types. I mean, you got that too, right?

This game has always been one of my favorites, so much so that I temporarily had a band named after it. Let summer begin.
