Let’s Play Little Nemo! Little Nemo is easily one of my favorite games ever released for the NES. Based on the Disney film of the same name, you play as a kid who just can’t won’t stay in bed, despite the protestations of his mother.
Capcom had a long string of successes in the early 90’s of taking Disney franchises and turning them into fantastic NES games in terms of music, gameplay, and graphics, and this game is no exception.
The music in particular is some of my favorite track for track in any game on the NES. It really was the difference in giving these beautiful worlds that dreamlike quality.
And who doesn’t like giving candy to animals and then possessing them/leaving them for dead? My let’s play of Little Nemo itself was pretty solid if I do say so myself. It still conjures up memories of playing this at a friend’s house in grade school and even with Game Genie the Nightmare King taking something like half an hour to beat which seemed like an eternity at the time.
Now that I’m going back and playing some of my favorite classics for the NES, many of which accounted for my first dozen or so uploads, I should revisit this one in HD.
