Let’s Play Doom!
I’m not going to make any new friends with this one. Does anyone read these, by the way? If the answer is no then I really don’t have to worry about what anyone’s going to think when I give my unpopular opinion for the day.
If you’ve seen my let’s play of Doom, you know I’m not big on it, so this won’t be a surprise.
Let’s Play Doom:
I just didn’t play it as a kid. Yes, I was the only one. I played Wolfenstein 3D, thought it was tons of fun, and found it challenging enough. Doom is the same thing, only less Nazis and more aliens. And a hell of a lot more challenging with tons and tons of keys and switches everywhere required to progress the levels.
I found Wolfenstein to be a lot more… well not linear per se, but easier to find where you were going and what you needed. There were at most two or three keys, everything was better lit in the Nazi bunkers than on the alien planet of Doom.
Doom is also probably 1000 times more well knock than Wolfenstein. Possibly because of the controversy behind it. It’s all well and good when you’re shooting Nazis up, but when it’s aliens it’s suddenly a little too violent and or gorey.
Anyway, if you didn’t like this, turn to the person next to you, ask them if they remember Doom, then have a nice and reassuring chat with them about it. What’s next?
