Let’s Play Bubble Ghost! I think Bubble Ghost may be the first instance of my trying to mark an event or holiday by the game I played, in this case the event being Halloween. Another game from my early early childhood, Bubble Ghost is a game in which you are charged with the task of guiding a bubble through a dangerous haunted house maze filled with sharp, bubble popping obstacles. Unfortunately, being a ghost, the only way in which you can move the bubble is through your ghostly breath. Even more unfortunately is the fact that your ghost is a smoker and gets winded after a coupe of seconds of blowing.
Let’s Play Bubble Ghost:
Each level has a point time limit in which you have to clear the bubble before you run out of bonus points (big deal) but generally you can take your time through the dozens of levels. This is a great game for kids, teaching the importance of patience or hand eye coordination or just getting your bubble through a haunted house if you’re a ghost in France. It’s a French developer so I’m pretty sure the ghost is French, too. I’m also pretty sure that this game was made by the same developer who made Mean 18, the first golf game I ever played and one I bonded over with my Grandpa when I was a tyke before he passed away. But I’m getting well ahead of myself talking about a game I haven’t even played yet at the time of writing this.
Bubble Ghost is an inventive premise (there seemed to be a lot of them in the 80’s) and an all around good time. I’m pretty sure it’s abandonware if you take a look, so why not give it a spin yourself?
