Everyone knows of and has played Tetris. Now you can enjoy the LPWB Tetris experience, as well.

Let’s Play Tetris:

I’ve always prided myself at being okay at Tetris. I was in a band in the late noughts and my drummer and I each had Tetris for our respective basic phones. He told me one day that he had just secured what he thought had to be the best score of all time at phone Tetris. To this I replied “I bet my high score is better” as coolly as possible.

This went back and forth until we finally whipped out our phones. I insisted he show me his score first which was probably somewhere in the 300,000 range. I then smiled to myself and produced my score to show off which was somewhere in the 2 million+ range which I locked down one evening when I was bored and waiting for my girlfriend to come over.

His mind was adequately blown and it was one of those silly little moments that I remember, cocky and pointless as it is to mention. I only mention it as it’s relevant in this moment, not to mention it pads this post a bit more.

My technique (as you’ll notice quickly in the LP) is to exclusively go for Tetris’s (Tetri?), four lines at a time to maximize the score to difficulty ratio. Of course you rely heavily (i.e. live and die by them) on the elusive erect pieces as I call them (not to mention snicker when referring to them as erect pieces) but it’s pretty satisfying and makes you feel pretty good about yourself for something which doesn’t matter. At all. On any level.

Anyway, I’m okay at Tetris.
