Let’s Play Lemmings! Ah those adorable empty headed lemmings, who doesn’t love them? They don’t look anything like real lemmings, but let’s ignore that and focus on what makes this a fun game.
Let’s Play Lemmings:
Lemmings sure love to follow the crowd, dont’ they? They love it so much that they’re wittingly or unwittingly willing to walk off of a cliff, into the sea, into a buzz saw, or into any of dozens of other interesting deaths the developers have devised for them. That’s where we come in. We’re in charge of guiding a group of lemmings safely to the destination without losing too many of them. While guiding these lemmings, you can divy up a number of trade school talents to them to ensure that they make it.
This includes but is not limited to: climbers, builders, bashers, diggers, blockers, and parachuters. Generally you only have so many trade school credits to go around, so you have to use your “resources” wisely to ensure their safety as they blindly and constantly walk forward to their happy or violent goal.
For the first annual Let’s Play With Brigands holiday party I played some of the holiday themed sequel, and that was a good time. Proof that sometimes it’s the simplest of concepts which stand the test of time. Probably why I still love the NES as much as I do.
